Rock Creek U.S.D. 323 is located 15 miles from Manhattan, Kansas and Kansas State University. The District is mostly rural and has two communities within its boundaries.

Elementary buildings, pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, are located in the town's of St. George and Westmoreland. In 1991, two small high schools were consolidated into one 7-12 school, Rock Creek Jr./Sr. High School.

Rock Creek High School is a 4-A school that provides a full range of activities and athletics, including; volleyball, football, basketball, wrestling, track, baseball, softball, forensics, debate, music and cross country. Rock Creek School District is ever expanding.

Rock Creek USD 323 employs over 80 full and part-time teachers. Approximately 55% of the teaching staff have a masters degree or higher. Numerous teacher aides and support staff are also part of the education team. The District is a major employer of the Westmoreland area.
